Stealing Gasoline
We are back in Vancouver. We left Walla Walla yesterday afternoon. Before leaving, we met up with Bob Wondra on our property. He’s farming our apple and cherry trees. We met him to go over things. He’s in the process of replacing our 500 gallon gasoline tank with propane.

A Tremendous Feeling
Tuesday found us back at Artifex tasting blending trials of our wine (hey, someone’s gotta do it). After a couple of hours of tasting, we settled on two very promising blends. Our hope is to blend the wines together in July and let them age in oak as a blended wine.

Monday in the Valley
Monday was a fun day.
We started out the day with breakfast at Tommy’s. It’s turned into our favorite breakfast place. It’s a dive with good food and nice people.

DuBrul Vineyard
We had a really nice time yesterday.
A couple of months ago Billo met Hugh and Kathy Shiels. Their daughter is in the enology program at UC Davis. They own DuBrul Vineyards and the Cote Bonneville winery. They took a liking to Billo (no surprise there) and invited him to visit.

Chehalem
Yesterday, we visited Harry Peterson-Nedry – owner/winemaker of Chehalem winery in Oregon. Harry is on our Board of Advisors and he’s been quite helpful. We wanted to stop by to say hi and bring him a present.

Walla Walla Trip
In 2 days, Billo and I head to Walla Walla. We’ll taste through our barrels to assess quality and do some blending trials to help determine the final blend.
